Hyuk Park was born in South Korea. He received the B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 2001, and received the M.S. and Ph.D. degree in information and mechatronics from the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), Korea, in 2003 and 2009, respectively. His main research interest is in the area of remote sensing, especially passive microwave remote sensing, including system design, modeling and simulation, and image processing. In 2009, he joined the remote sensing group of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), Barcelona, as a postdoctoral researcher. He is a grant holder of NRF funded by the Korean government in 2011. Since 2012, he has been working as a research associate with Grants of Juan de la Cierva funded by Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. Currently, he is working with School of Telecom. and Aerospace Eng. , RSLab in Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC-BarcelonaTech) as a Ramon y Cajal Fellow/Tenure-track Assistant Professor.
