Israel Durán was born in Esplugues de Llobregat. He received the Telecommunication Engineer and Dr. Eng. degrees from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, in 2010 and 2017, respectively. Currently, he is working with the Passive Remote Sensing Group of the Signal Theory and Communications Department of the UPC. His research activities are related to SMOS mission data processing.
